hi, I’m Suzie

my background
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), and Accredited Financial Counsellor (AFCC) based in Calgary, though I deliver counselling services across Canada. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve supported individuals and couples through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, grief, identity development, parenting, and major life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
my approach
Counselling with me is collaborative and down-to-earth. You won’t get one-size-fits-all strategies or feel pressured to perform. Instead, we’ll focus on what matters to you, move at your pace, and adapt as we go.
I work with teens, adults, and couples who are navigating anxiety, stress, grief, identity questions, relationship issues, and more. You don’t need a diagnosis or to be in crisis to seek support—if something’s weighing on you or just feels “off,” that’s reason enough to reach out.
my why
I’ve worked with people from many walks of life—through mental health struggles, career stress, spiritual shifts, and tough losses. What I’ve seen, over and over again, is how healing it can be to feel truly heard. That’s why Suzie’s Place exists: to offer a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out, but you don’t have to go through it alone either.
